BOFAI

Five Years of Impact; BOFAI remains committed to advancing social justice, Interviews with Newspapers.(Throwback post)

Over the past five years, The Bonafide Advocator Initiative(BOFAI) has consistently raised national awareness about the glaring challenges in Nigeria’s juvenile justice framework, including the lack of rehabilitative services, poor reentry structures, and the stigmatization and marginalization of ex-offenders.

Amidst all these challenges, we were able to accomplish several achievements in the past year as contained in our impact sheet below;

BOFAI as an organization has grown, as we marked our fifth year anniversary in February, 2025. As an Initiative committed to ensuring that Social Justice is attainable for all, we have evolved and gotten better at advancing our vision and mission, however our drive remains the same and we remain committed to ensuring that no one is denied access to justice at all fronts especially the more vulnerable juvenile strata of the society.

To further commemorate our five years anniversary, The Executive Director of the Initiative, Oluwatobi Adetona esq. was interviewed by several News Stations including The Guardian Newspaper, BusinessDay, amongst others.

Through these interviews, she emphasized BOFAI’s commitment to Social Justice, by talking about our Empowerment and Reentry Support Program, Aftercare services and provision of legal representations to Incarcerated Juveniles who require them.

In her words, “BOFAI is paving the way for a society where every young person, regardless of their past, can have a second chance at life”.
